Ingredients You Will Need For Marry Me Pasta?

 Marry Me Pasta
  • Chicken Breast- Thick cuts of chicken breast will do the trick. You can also use thinly sliced chicken.
  • Pasta- I used rigatoni pasta. This pasta works well without soaking up too much of the pasta sauce.
  • Heavy Cream- This will help you to get that rich and flavorful creamy cheese sauce.
  • Sun-dried Tomatoes- This helps to give this marry-me chicken pasta that roasted sweet garlicky-like flavor.
  • Seasonings- Italian, garlic powder, black pepper,

How To Make Marry Me Pasta?

  • Cook your pasta as instructed by the package.
  • Use a meat mallet to pound your chicken breasts so that they cook evenly if need be. It is usually done for thicker chicken breasts.
  • Season chicken breast front and back.
  • To a medium-high skillet add butter and olive oil along with chicken. Allow to sear on both sides for 5 to 7 minutes or until no pink meat is shown inside.
  • Remove the chicken breast from the pan and begin slicing into strips.
  • To the same skillet add minced garlic, fresh chopped basil, and sun-dried tomatoes. Allow to cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add heavy cream, chicken broth, and Parmesan cheese and stir.
  • Add in pasta, sliced chicken, and seasonings, and mix well.
  • Top with Parmesan cheese and enjoy!

Variations/ Substitutions

  • Meatless marry me pasta. Make this recipe without the chicken.
  • Substitute the sun-dried tomatoes for a handful of grape tomatoes.
  • Use any pasta you would like. I would only try to stay away from the spaghetti noodles but fettuccine or rigatoni is just fine.
